Ukrainian Community of Wellington invites you to join us at the Ukrainian Cultural Festival.
Come and experience our traditions and culture. Enjoy Ukrainian folk music, dance, songs, fun activities for children and taste our traditional cuisine.

11:30am Doors open
12.00 pm – 12:30 pm Official opening
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Act1: Live entertainment - Folk music - Traditional Ukrainian songs and dance - Ruffle draw
1:30 pm – 2:00 pm Intermission
2:00 pm – 3:30 pm Act 2: Live entertainment continues
3:30 pm Festival ends
You will see bright and engaging performances of Wellington talents as well as those of our special guests from Christchurch and overseas. Experience the beautiful sound of Bandura – traditional Ukrainian musical instrument. Have an opportunity to learn more about Ukraine, its people, and culture though an exhibition presented during the Festival.
Bring your children with you to the Festival and let them experience Ukrainian culture through various activities and workshops: thread-doll making, traditional fine art techniques, origami, musical performance etc.
Entrance fee $5 (children under 12 free).

Dear friends, come along and join us at the Ukrainian Cultural Festival "Batkivska Khata" (Family Home)!
The Festival will take place on the 7th of September 2013 in the St John's Church Conference Centre (corner Dixon & Willis Streets, Wellington City) from 11.30 am till 3.30 pm.
This event is going to be truly remarkable with lots of talented performers presenting beautiful Ukrainian music, songs, and dances.
There will also be special workshops and fun activities for children allowing them to learn more about Ukraine and its reach cultural heritage, traditions, and art.
And, of course, there is going to be lots of delicious Ukrainian food to taste!
Whereas you know very little about Ukraine or you spent most of your life there, we invite you to come to the Festival and have great time sharing and enjoying Ukrainian culture and traditions.
